When is the Jubilee bank (public) holiday?
The United Kingdom is celebrating this amazing Platinum Jubilee over 4 days, starting on Thursday 2nd June and ending on Sunday 5th June with a whole series of events plus thousands of locally organised street parties.
International Days: Portuguese Language Day
Portuguese has more than 200 million native speakers, making it the fifth-ranked language and it is also the most widely spoken language in South America. In 2019 UNESCO decided to declare the 5th of May as World Portuguese day, an honour that was given for the first time to an unofficial UNESCO language.
Comms Welcomes Two New Project Coordinators
Nika and Shahrzad have joined us in the new role of Project Coordinator, and they will be responsible for dealing with our databases of providers, selecting and recruiting different types of vendors, and assisting our Project Managers with projects and quality checks.
International Days – Chinese Language Day
Today (April 20th) is Chinese Language Day, set up by the United Nations in 2010. The UN originally created language days for each of its six official languages (Chinese, English, Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish) to celebrate cultural diversity and multilingualism.
