Comms Multilingual was founded in February 2003 by Sue Orchard with the aim of providing quality translation and related services to businesses and other organisations.
Today, Comms Multilingual is a team of around 14 and a network of over 4,000 translators who provide specialist multilingual translation services, as well as localisation and adaptation of texts for clients around the world.
We believe in working closely with our clients to develop a strong partnership for the long term. Our translation agency is different to many, in that we assign a dedicated Project Manager to run the projects for each client and we work closely with our clients to become familiar with their strategy, ambitions and the way they like to work. We pride ourselves on a very high return rate for clients. Additionally, a lot of our new business comes from referrals, which we believe is testament to the way we do things.

Comms Multilingual’s Translation Services
Comms Multilingual offers a wide range of services, including translation, transcreation, editing and proofreading, SME review, cognitive debriefing, typesetting, voice-overs, websites and multimedia in over 100 languages. Some of the more unusual languages that Comms Multilingual translates into are Wolof (the most widely spoken language in Senegal), Māori (New Zealand) and Hiligaynon (The Philippines).
We use techniques developed in-house to deliver a high quality product and an excellent customer experience, and leverage industry-standard tools such as Plunet for Project Management and memoQ as our primary translation management system (TMS).
Since 2007, we have been based out of our Head Office in Epsom, UK (just outside of London). Our sales, administration and operations departments are all located here.
Our Translators and Project Managers
Our linguists are all native speakers with proven expertise in their respective subject areas. Each linguist is thoroughly tested and reviewed prior to engagement and must meet strict qualification standards. All partners are also required to sign comprehensive NDAs and Services Agreements, ensuring confidentiality and quality at every stage.
Our project managers are qualified linguists themselves and receive thorough in-house training. This ensures they follow our procedures rigorously and deliver the highest standards of service. In addition, they are trained in areas such as psychometrics, item writing, MTPE, multimedia services, and other relevant disciplines, enabling them to ensure that translations are not only high quality, but also effective and fit for purpose.
